Qualifications for Office
To be eligible to serve on board, all of the following requirements must be met:
- MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
- MUST BE A RESIDENT OF TEXAS
- MUST RESIDE IN THE FLOOD DISTRICT IN LAVACA COUNTY
- MUST BE A QUALIFIED VOTER
- MUST OWN LAND IN THE FLOOD DISTRICT SUBJECT TO TAXATION AT THE TIME THE DIRECTOR QUALIFIES FOR OFFICE
The above requirements must be maintained by each board member throughout their term.
